Pink roses with sage green leaves are at the center of this vintage 11 3/4" platter. The leafy rose print surrounds a yellow medallion with a design similar to black wrought iron. The platter is trimmed with a 3/8", 22k Gold, embellishment that contains a leaf pattern that is worn here and there. Because of the pink cabbage roses and the crazing of the piece, it would work beautifully as "cottage" decor. Most of the crazing is noted on the back of the platter but there is also light crazing on the front as well... enough to give it character. The platter is heavy like ironstone. No chips or cracks. It is marked on the back with the pattern name: Southern Rose. The mark also states "Union Made", Made in the U.S.A., and Warranted 22K Gold Trim. A beautiful rose pattern! .
