This set of eight Melamine plates have the Texas Ware logo imprinted on the bottom. The 6 5/8" size is perfect for dessert or bread & butter plates. These are a "milk chocolate" shade of brown matching the pattern of wheat found on the Texas Ware dinner plates & saucers also in this shop. The plates show general signs of use and utensil marks.
Melamine was often called "Melmac" which was a brand name. Texas Ware like Melmac is also a brand name--a brand "born and bred" in Dallas, Texas beginning in the 1950's.
There are matching (or coordinating) dinner plates, bowls, cups & saucers, creamer & sugar, and also a platter listed separately in this pattern. Some of the additional pieces are pictured in the last photo. Purchase the entire set and receive a discount.
