Great Fall / Autumn and Winter Colors...there is something warming about this country scene in shades of brown....it brings about those feelings of home and hearth...
Sharing a light breakfast, lunch, or a special dessert with someone special. This listing is for a total of SIX Pieces:
TWO 7" Dessert (or Breakfast / Luncheon) Plates
This mid-century double trio set is manufactured by Taylor Smith Taylor in their rustic Weather Vane pattern. The modernistic shape is part of TST's "Ever Yours" line which included many designs familiar to those who collect from the Eames era. The country or farm scene on the dishes features a Rooster in shades of brown as part of the black weather vane. An aqua blue tint just behind the rooster gives the hint of a sky. A wagon wheel and a basket, plus a few sheaves of wheat complete the design on the creamy ivory saucers. On the 7" plates a few additional items of rustic charm are incorporated into the scene --an old water pump and pail with a scattering of small brown and blue flowers. The inside of the cups are a wonderful contrast --a latte brown--one of the browns from the chicken. The cups carry a smaller version of the scene than the saucers--an exact replica of the part of the design found on the sugar. The sugar bowl is listed separately but shown in the last photo.
There are no chips, cracks, or crazing and the finish remains glossy. The dishes comes to you in Excellent Condition, clean and ready to use for sharing a light breakfast, lunch, or a special dessert.
