Hazel Atlas was manufacturing pure white, fire polished, glassware that they named Platonite as early as the 1920's. The glassware was made under high temperatures to produce strength and fire resistant qualities. The colors of choice could then be fired onto the Platonite.
This Platonite white glass flower pot is from the 1930's to 1950's era. The flowerpot has a light yellow fired on exterior which is one of the many colors that were available. This flowerpot is like new and appears to have never been used. There are no nicks or chips to the glass or to the fired on painted color. Approx. 3 5/8" tall, the little pot is the perfect size for small spice or herb plants for your kitchen or perhaps your favorite small succulent (a cactus, Jade plant, or other).
