A hike of the ruffled skirt and a tilt of her wide brimmed hat -- you can almost see the mischievous smile on her pouty lips! Dressed in shades of blue, this Occupied Japan Figurine seems to be the image of a girl who has flirting on her mind. These porcelain figures are often found now spoiled with chips, nicks, or paint loss. This 5 1/2" tall figurine is in excellent condition without any of these found. She carries the "Made in Occupied Japan" mark on the bottom from the years of 1945 -1952. As is characteristic of the porcelain of that era, there are minor dimples or spots of sand in the surface under the glaze. Also, as these were hand painted, the features will not be as exact as mechanically produced and decorated figures.
