Most often a reference to "Egyptian Revival" Jewelry refers to jewelry with an Egyptian influence that became popular in the 1920's after the discovery of King Tut's tomb. But, within every few generations the interest in Egyptian inspired jewelry peaks again as it has now. This vintage 1970 's Medallion size necklace features an Egyptian Pharaoh or King in the center. Three charms dangle from the center piece. The charms include an Egyptian Sarcophagus or Mummy Coffin, a detailed urn, and a Falcon often used to represent HORUS the Egyptian "Falcon god". The pendant and chain are in Excellent Condition. Including the charms the pendant measures approximately 3 1/2" and hangs from a sturdy 24" chain.
