These four 10 3/8" Dinner Plates are not as easily found as other pieces in this beautiful color. This Sandwich Pattern originated with Indiana Glass in 1925 and was then reissued in newer colors (like this Amethyst) after the company joined Tiara Exclusives. Their warm amber seems to be the easiest color found and even though this color was manufactured later it seems to be a little more difficult to collect.
The photos really do not do the color justice. The first photo here seems to be closest to the correct shade of purple. The color is a true amethyst (in my opinion) and less of a plum color.
These four plates are in Excellent Condition without nicks, chips, cracks, or scratches found. As is common in this glassware, there are occasional small bubbles seen within the glass that occur during manufacture. Each plate is glossy and smooth on the upper side with the stippled and raised floral pattern underneath.
The price is for FOUR.
*Please be aware that these are made of a substantially weighty glass which will help prevent breaks during use but will also increase the shipping weight. The packaged weight for the four plates is 8 pounds and 12 ounces and is reflected in the shipping costs.
