This elaborate round dresser jar from the Victorian era is in great condition. A good amount of the gold cold paint trim remains. The burnished gold paint still highlights the raised feathery scrolling pattern on the top and bottom of the powder jar. The scalloped edge of the lid is thin with a translucent opaline quality. The convex lid has an inner ridge to keep it in place. There are several teeny tiny little nicks on that inside ridge of the lid and inner upper edge of the bottom portion of the jar where the lid sits. The box is in beautiful condition with no other nicks and no cracks. The round milk glass box measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".
