This gorgeous 1950's doll turns her head side to side as her legs are moved. Her beautiful glass eyes open and close. She carries the R&B mark at the base of her neck and is believed to be a Nanette Walker instead of her close Nancy Lee relative. Without shoes, Nanette is able to stand alone but with her shoes she will do best with a display stand. Her braided hair in pigtails is in Very Good Condition. (Her original hair ribbons will be included.)
For the purist doll collector this young lady has mostly new clothes. Her cherry printed pinafore is from the correct time period. Her newer handmade dress in green with white polka dots, puffed sleeves, and circle skirt is perfectly suited for her era. Her bloomers, shoes, and long socks are new and quite becoming.
Close ups have been taken of her age wear. She has a small mark on the side of her face that looks like ink. Her facial color and red lips are lovely. Please look at the close up photo of her shoulder. Both shoulders appear the same. A close up of her wrist also shows some separation at the seam which is noted on both wrists. A close up of the inside of her left leg also shows some separation which is not visible on her other leg. Nanette's legs will both move and head turns side to side. I do not know if she is supposed to be able to sit but she does not. She also has occasional marks on her legs shown in the photo. To the best of my knowledge these are her only "age issues".
A very beautiful doll! If a customer would like more photos please email and ask and photo cans be emailed (this is the maximum allowed with each listing).
