Large Platter Myott Chelsea Garden
This beautiful platter is a very unusual find! Uniquely designed for Bloomingdale's around the 1970's - 80's, and titled Chelsea Garden, by Myott of Staffordshire England. This lovely blue & white serving platter measures 14 1/2" long x 11 1/2" wide. The pattern is a rich cobalt blue on a creamy white background. The blue florals with swirling vines portray Nasturtiums (or perhaps the Morning Glory). There is a small dip in the platter near the rim on the underside and shown in the close up photo. This area is smooth and appears as fully under the glaze and not a chip. Though crazing in this pattern is very typical, the platter has only a very minimal amount noted and is therefore still considered in Excellent Condition. If you are familiar with this pattern then you will know that this platter may be a once in a life time find! A beautiful way to serve your Thanksgiving or Christmas Holiday Turkey or Ham!
