This yellow and brown plaid pattern known as Organdie was created by Gale Turnbull in the late 1930's. Organdie, produced by Vernonware, was produced from 1937 - 1958. This creamer & sugar are marked with the Vernonware mark on the bottom. All 3 pieces; the sugar bowl, lid, and the creamer, are in Excellent Condition. The design remains fully intact and all pieces without chips, nicks, cracks, or crazing.

The sugar measures 3 1/2" at its widest point (across the middle) and 4 1/2" tall including the knob of the top. The creamer is 5 1/2" (also at the widest point ) from the tip of the pouring spout to the outer edge of the handle and is 3" tall . Without its lid, the sugar is the same height as the creamer and the rounded "bowl" part of each piece is almost exactly the same width ...maybe 1/8" difference.
