This vintage porcelain Cake Lifter (or Pie Server) has a light ivory background with a gold filigree design. These were made by many potteries during the 1930's - 50's era and were often unmarked . Among the known manufacturer's were Homer Laughlin, WS George, Cambridge, Universal and the list could go on. The gold floral filigree design shows some wear but the server remains in otherwise very good condition. Due to reflection, the shiny gilded surface and design are very difficult to capture in the photographs. The server is much prettier in person. It measures 9" x 2 1/2" at the widest point.
