Antique Raphael Tuck & Sons "Erin Go Bragh" St. Patrick's Day PostcardAntique Raphael Tuck & Sons "Erin Go Bragh" St. Patrick's Day Postcard

This lovely girl in a flowing white gown looks like a greek goddess. She wears a green laurel like crown and has a handful of shamrocks in one hand and carries the emerald green Ireland flag in the other. As she kneels, the young lady appears to be looking into a a sunrise scene across the water where a golden harp appears. The message at the top of the postcard: "Oh she's a fair land. She is a dear and rare land--this native land of mine." The bright orange sun rising against the green hue of the water offers a wonderful contrast of colors.

This postcard has a postmark date of 1911. The Raphael Tuck and Sons mark identifies the postcard as part of the "Erin Go Bragh Series." Light edge staining is seen at the top edge, predominantly on the reverse. Very minor edge and corner wear. Great Condition!
