A very protective Rooster has his eye on hatching peeps while two maternal hens also keep their eyes on the baby chicks. This antique postcard of birthing chickens brings the message of new life in the illustration and a printed message on the front wishing "A Joyful Easter." The postcard was published between 1905 and 1914 while the Souvenir Post Card Company was open at their New York address.
The illustration is in dark rich colors. The card has never been circulated. A written message in very light (faded) pencil says; "from Mamma" and to "Elmer Raosch". The contrast has been heightened in the last two photos in order to show the writing. The card is crisp, clean, without rips or tears, and in Excellent Condition.
