From the 1940's (or possibly 1950's), this tin tray is from one of the most popular tea sets by Ohio Art. The tray features a little boy and a wheelbarrow of flowers ready to plant. A little girl and her watering can are ready to plant the flowers and a puppy is there ready to help. Other pieces in this set feature compliments to this scene. (The saucers feature this puppy chasing a butterfly.) The cup from the original set (not offered in this listing) is the one piece that identifies the set with its number 173 and the Ohio Art Logo.
The lithographed scene on the tray is in great condition with minimal dings. There is no rust. The colors are bright. Sadly the tray has been bent in half at some point so therefore has a crease right down the center. It measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/2"
