In the 1960's and 70's Village pattern by Pfaltzgraff, each of these soup mugs hold 16 oz. of your favorite soup or chili. The buttery background color of the heavy pottery offers chocolate brown trim and a stylized tulip design. Each of the handled bowls ("mugs") are 4 7/8" across not including the comfortable flattened handle. These dishes were prone to crazing and it seems to be a rather normal find for this pattern. One of the mugs has very minimal crazing and the other has none. One has a flake out of the unglazed portion of the foot as noted in the photo and very likely came from the manufacturer that way. Both are in very good condition without cracks or stains and still have the like new satin gloss finish.
