This elaborate round dresser jar from the Victorian era is in great condition. A good amount of the gold cold paint trim remains. The burnished gold paint still highlights the raised feathery scrolling pattern on the top and bottom of the powder jar. The scalloped edge of the lid is thin with an opalescent quality. Though the glass is considered opaque, both the top and bottom have a translucent quality as well. The convex lid has an inner ridge to keep it in place. There are several teeny tiny little nicks on that inside ridge of the lid and upper edge of the bottom portion of the jar where the lid sits. Perfect as a vanity as intended or as a trinket box for valued jewelry or other treasures. Beautiful condition with no other nicks and no cracks. The pretty round milk glass jar measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".
