This "Mommie-made" cotton dress is in Great Condition and was sewn in the 1950's with great care (actually by my mother). The fabric she used was almost always made at Dan River Cotton Mills (near our home). All of the Seam edges in this dress are trimmed or doubled so that there are no raw edges--NONE! Each of the four button holes were done by hand. There are four daisies embroidered on the bodice and three more on the lower front. A darker green contrasting trim adds a little "pop" of color and coordinates with the leaves of the embroidered flowers. The dress is washable and still in Excellent Condition.
As it is hand made there is no tag within the dress so please see measurements below. The best guess to size is 9 to 12 months:
From shoulder seam to hem: 16 1/2" long
Shoulder to Shoulder (flat) 9 1/2"
Chest = 30" which is rather misleading because the dress is full below the armpits to the hem
