This large vintage enamel pot with lid has the bright red trim so popular among the mid-century enamelware and now again for Country Farmhouse kitchen decor or the Retro Red & White kitchen theme.
This tall cooking pot displays well and can be used for the storage of potatoes, onions, or uncooked vegetables but the pot is no longer recommended for cooking. The inside bottom has an area of enamel loss 1" x 2" with a bit of rust. All of the enamel is intact on the outside sides. The outside bottom only shows general signs of use. The white finish and the red handles and trim of the pot are intact. The lid has a characteristic area of enamel loss at the rim.
Without the cover, the pot is 6 1/2" tall and 10" across. With the lid on, it is 8 1/2" tall (including the lid handle).
