This three drawer celluloid jewelry box has an Asian theme design in relief and is in very good condition. The Oriental design decorates the top and sides and includes mountains, a pagoda, fishermen, and willow tree images perhaps from Japan. The front has a raised geometric design. The drawer pulls (also plastic) are black dragons and coordinate with the ornate black base.
The vintage jewelry box is in nice vintage condition with only a few issues. The back and bottom seams of the box show signs of what appear to be aging glue and a stain is noted on the left side bottom corner as pictured. No chips cracks or breaks are found. Removable drawer inserts are made of cardboard covered with white satin or satin like fabric. The fabric has light signs of aging only and remains in good condition. The jewelry box measures 4 1/2" deep. It is 7 1/2" wide and 5 1/2" tall.
