These beautiful hand painted Noritake plates carry the well known "Tree in the Meadow" design. The colors are striking with a contrasting black and white trim. The trim is embellished with a raised scrolling pattern in gold. The 6 1/4" plates are perfect dessert size but truly lend themselves as a lovely wall grouping for decor. The pale green Noritake M in the Wreath mark indicates that the serene scenes were hand painted in these very rich colors of orange, gray, and yellow. The mark also indicates their manufacture to be 1918 which is considered a transitional period from the Nippon Era to the Deco Era. In spite of their beauty, the plates are not totally perfect. Close ups of each plate is provided here including and in between pictures number 4 and 8. There is light reflection in almost every photo unfortunately but the customer should know that five of the six plates have a small bit of paint loss. None of the plates are nicked, chipped, cracked or crazed--Very Good to very near Excellent Condition .
