J & G Meakin Blue Nordic Covered Vegetable Bowl

Blue Nordic by J. & G. Meakin of England is a Blue Onion type of pattern, in almost a navy blue, offered on Classic White. The gorgeous shade of blue is a beautiful contrast against the stark white background. This Covered Vegetable Bowl or Casserole is rather hard to find. The round bowl with tab handles measures 10" from handle to handle, 8 1/2" across not including the handles. The cover fits just inside the serving bowl and sits on a ridge. There are a few very small gray spots noted inside the bowl apparently from manufacture as they seem to exist under the glaze. Still in Excellent Condition, neither the bowl or it's lid have chips, nicks, or breaks. No crazing is found. A wonderful serving piece to add to your Blue Nordic, Blue Onion, or Blue & White Vintage Ironstone Dinnerware collection.
