Imperial Glass introduced this block pattern in the 1920's originally named as Monticello. The clear glass in this pattern has a light yellow cast. In the 1960's and 70's Monticello was re-issued as the "Waffle" Block pattern and was manufactured in several carnival glass colors. My understanding is that the reissues were marked with the Imperial IG mark. These stemmed sherbet glasses are unmarked which I believe indicates that they are of the earlier productions. These handsome sherbets are 3 1/2" tall and have the waffle pattern around their cup. Their square base offers a sunburst. No chips or breaks . The price is for both.
A basket in this pattern is listed separately in this shop. If purchasing these sherbets with the basket, the sherbets will be discounted by 20%.
