One of these mugs has a straw mark inside which in the photos appears like a crack but the mug is NOT cracked. This set of four, bright cherry red fired on mugs have the textured "pebble" finish that Hazelware used on several of their products. The mugs are the milk white glass with fired on color and are in very good condition. The vintage mugs do show signs of use but will brighten any retro kitchen with their cheerful color. The white interiors are shiny and the exteriors are glossy. One mug has a very small chip on the rim from stacking, I'm sure, and one has the straw mark as mentioned. Both are shown in the close up photos. Straw marks occurred very commonly during the manufacture of this type of glassware from the 1950's era and are of no consequence. The pretty red fired on finish is in overall great condition. There are minor surface scratches here and there which are magnified in these photos for you to see clearly. The set of mugs are really in overall good condition but are being offered at the lower price due to their imperfections.
(You may wish to add these to the set of bright yellow Hazelware mugs also available in this shop.)
*The Hazelware Glassware Line was originally produced by the Hazel Atlas Company in Clarksburg, West Virginia in the 1950's. The line stayed in production until the 1970's and was produced in Clarksburg the entire time. Through it's 20 years of production, Hazelware was actually owned by three different companies.
