This set of four Homer Laughlin Poppy & Rose 6" Bread & Butter Plates are all in Good to Excellent Condition. These 6" plates in this pattern are a bit difficult to find.
The Poppy and Rose floral design was introduced by Homer Laughlin in the 1930's and continued in production through the mid-1950's. This pattern is perhaps one of the most popular Homer Laughlin designs beyond their Fiesta and most often found in this Kwaker shape.
All four of these plates are without chips, nicks, or breaks and their bright floral pattern remains sharp. Occasional utensil marks can be seen with close inspection and one of the plates has fine crazing (close up photos of that plate are shown). Each plate carries the Laughlin mark.
This design of Orange Poppies, Yellow Roses, and Black Leaves by Homer Laughlin is informally known as "Poppy & Rose" by most collectors, "Olivia" by others, and tagged as "Ivora" by some.
