11 3/4" x 9 1/2"
This Poppy & Rose design was introduced by Homer Laughlin in the 1930's and continued in production through the mid-1950's. The pattern is perhaps one of Homer Laughlin's most popular beyond their Fiesta. Crooksville China, who sometimes purchased the blank pottery from Laughlin, also utilized this design.
This platter is free of crazing, nicks, chips, or breaks. Very light utensil marks can be seen when held at an angle to the light. The bright floral pattern remains intact and sharp. The platter measures 11 3/4" x 9 1/2". The platter is unmarked on the bottom but is in Laughlin's Kwaker Shape.
The design of Orange Poppies, Yellow Roses, and Black Leaves by Homer Laughlin is informally known as "Poppy & Rose" by some collectors, "Olivia" by others, tagged as "Ivora" by some, and just labeled with a number "K4124" by others.
