This Poppy & Rose design was introduced by Homer Laughlin in the 1930's and continued in production through the mid-1950's. This pattern is perhaps one of the most popular Homer Laughlin designs beyond their Fiesta.
The large round serving bowl is not perfect and is priced accordingly. Unfortunately there is a chip under the rim and one area of color missing from the bright floral design. It is otherwise in very nice condition with its finish still glossy, no cracks, no crazing. The bowl is almost 3" deep and 8 3/4" wide. It is shown with a soup bowl in the last photo to give perspective of size.
The design of Orange Poppies, Yellow Roses, and Black Leaves by Homer Laughlin is informally known as "Poppy & Rose" by some collectors, "Olivia" by others, and tagged as "Ivora" by some. Most pieces in this pattern were made in the Kwaker shape.
