This Poppy & Rose design was introduced by Homer Laughlin in the 1930's and continued in production through the mid-1950's. This pattern is perhaps one of the most popular Homer Laughlin designs beyond their Fiesta.
This listing is for ONE SET OF FOUR: Poppy & Rose Cups & Saucers in Homer Laughlin's Brittany shape. All are in Very Good Condition. The bright floral pattern remains sharp, no chips or nicks found. Some crazing noted.
The design of Orange Poppies, Yellow Roses, and Black Leaves by Homer Laughlin is informally known as "Poppy & Rose" by some collectors, "Olivia" by others, and tagged as "Ivora" by some. Most of the coordinating pieces in this pattern; sugar, creamer, plates, bowls, etc... were made in the Kwaker shape. The cups and saucers with the Poppy & Rose design however were made in multiple shapes. This shape is very similar to the Kwaker but the irregular shaped handles identify them as the Brittany shape.
You may wish to see other items in this pattern and create your own place settings. There are currently other more difficult pieces to find in this pattern also listed. Items can be combined for a savings on shipping.
