This Poppy & Rose design was introduced by Homer Laughlin in the 1930's and continued in production through the mid-1950's. This pattern is perhaps one of the most popular Homer Laughlin designs beyond their Fiesta and most often found on the Kwaker shape.
The price shown is for FOUR PLATES. If you wish to purchase all eight plates please choose the quantity of 2.
This listing is for TWO SETS OF FOUR Poppy & Rose 5 7/8" Plates (Bread & Butter size) which are rather difficult to find--particularly in such Excellent Condition. No chips, breaks, or stains noted and the bright floral pattern remains sharp. A few utensil marks can be noted with light crazing noted on a couple with very close inspection. All of the plates carry the Laughlin mark and dates from 1942 & 1943.
The design of Orange Poppies, Yellow Roses, and Black Leaves by Homer Laughlin is informally known as "Poppy & Rose" by most collectors, "Olivia" by others, and tagged as "Ivora" by some.
