This pattern; Bristol by Homer Laughlin, won an award by American Vogue when it was manufactured in the 1940's. The trim and centered pattern of periwinkle blue and pink flowers (possibly wild roses and forget me nots) are a beautiful contrast against the creamy ivory background. The design was available in Laughlin's Eggshell Nautilus Shape (like this bowl) and also Laughlin's Georgian shape. This 9 3/8" Oval Serving Bowl has no chips, cracks, breaks, or crazing. The gold trim is shiny and intact. The lovely floral design remains bright, beautiful, and in Excellent Condition.
