Homer Laughlin's Swing shape included a Demitasse (Miniature or Individual size) Coffee Pot, Creamer, and an Open Sugar. This is the open sugar and creamer in the Laughlin Swing Moss Rose. (The coffeepot is listed separately but shown in one of the photos here.)
This popular Homer Laughlin Design is known as Moss Rose by many collector's though it is also referred to by some as Calirose. The pretty blooming pink rose is accented by the pastel pink trim all on Laughlin's Eggshell Swing Shape. This shape was manufactured from 1938 to 1948. The "modern" design was known for its graceful circular finials and handles. The tableware is strong but yet thin and so was given the name "Eggshell". Perhaps the best known design in this shape was the Organdy Pastels. The Moss Rose is exactly like the Pink Organdy with the addition of the lovely blooming pink rose. On the reverse side of many of the serving pieces a smaller rose bud appears as is offered on this Creamer and Sugar
Both the cream and sugar are in Excellent Condition. The open sugar measures approx 2" tall and 2 7/16" across the top. The creamer has the circular handle like the coffee pot, cups, and the cover of the muffin server. It is also 2" tall and from the tip of the spout to the outer edge of the handle it is 4 1/8".
Several matching pieces are also available in this shop (at the time of this listing). You may wish to build a couple of (or a single) breakfast place setting(s) as shown in the last photo. The Moss Rose is easily mingled with the Pink Organdy. Multiple item purchases will be combined for a savings on shipping. The price is for the Creamer and Sugar only. The last two photos are included so that you may preview other available items with these.
