Fall Sale! The perfect color for Fall and Winter.
This particular teapot is unmarked though the actual maker is well known to be Laughlin. Homer Laughlin sold their Granada shaped pottery to other potteries such as Coventry, Sheffield, Jepcor and others. This Harvest Gold color (without the speckles) is the match to the Coventry Castilian and perhaps others. This shade however is not a true match to Laughlin's Golden Harvest as it may appear to be in photos. Though this 1960's piece is a definite match to Coventry's Castilian and it may very well go with other Granada shaped patterns, please be aware that the subtle difference in shades of gold between some of the different designs on the Granada shape cannot always be detected in photos. You will find other Coventry Castilian items that are a definite match also in this shop.
This Teapot is in Excellent Condition. No cracks, chips, nicks or crazing found. It measures approximately 6 1/2" tall (including lid) and 8" wide from handle to spout.
From the mid 1960's to early 70's Homer Laughlin Pottery manufactured this shape labeled as Granada that was available in Harvest Gold and Avocado Green and a few other basic colors. All of the pieces in this shape have a petal like embossed design. Some have the design in a single row while others offer a double row. The Castilian design by Coventry in Laughlin's Granada shape is a perfect match to the golden color of the Tea Pot here and the Granada Coffee Pot and Cups also currently listed in this shop. To make collecting these pieces even more interesting; these unstamped hollow ware pieces in the Granada shape were also sold to other potteries besides Coventry (like Sheffield, Jepcor and others).
This Harvest Gold color is almost the shade of butterscotch. The next to last photo shows other items currently (at the time of this listing) in this shop. The last photo shows the teapot with a matching coffee cup (listed separately) to aid in size perspective.
