These vintage flour sack towels appear to have never been used and are in beautiful condition. The towels are hand embroidered with the days of the week, Blue Birds, and flowers. Thursday is the day of the week missing in this set. When there are only six within a Days of the Week Towel Set, the missing day is usually Sunday so the seventh towel may actually just be missing.
The fabric is soft and the towels measure approximately 29" x 28". The fabric has the normal occasional slub but no holes, rips, or tears found. The Blue birds were embroidered in shades of blue. The flowers include daisies, roses, and pansies. The flowers are in various shades of pink while the days of the week are embroidered in black. The towels are 100% cotton sack material.
There are two stains noted; one is on the Wednesday towel on the opposite end from the bird design. There is a straight dark line that appears as if it were printed on the fabric perhaps originally intended as a cut mark. The Tuesday towel has two small light blue ink marks on the outside third beside the design.
These will be laundered and pressed just before shipping.
