Vintage Vincent Giannetto Farm Pond Puddlers: Mother Duck
Neat Mother's Day or Father's Day Gift Idea!
From the 1980's this large (15") resin duck is the Mama of the collection of "Farm Pond Puddlers" by Vincent Giannetto III . According to the attached tag brochure, Giannetto began carving duck decoys as a young boy. As he and his carving skills matured he became widely known for his art. With this collection of ducks, the artist skillfully carved the original of each duck within the collection and then each of the ducks were replicated in resin. Each individual duck was hand rubbed with stain to enhance the delicate feathering. Each duck is signed and dated. On this Mother Duck the signature is under the bill and the year 1984 is under her tail feathers. The realistic eyes are amber and appear to be glass. The very bottom has an applied felt base (from the manufacturer) to protect the furniture she is displayed on.
The last photograph shows the entire flock (7 babies and the Mother duck) that will be listed. Each of these will be listed separately. Each are in Excellent Condition. Purchase as many as you would like and all will be safely wrapped and combined for shipping. If you do not find all of the ducklings within the shop, they may not have been listed yet, please email to ask. Also, please email for more information on shipping if you wish to purchase Mom and her brood. This Mother Duck is heavier than the smaller ones and weighs almost 3 pounds before packing. Purchase as many as you would like and all will be safely wrapped and combined for shipping to save on shipping costs.
