This vintage Ginny wardrobe was made in 1958 most likely by Strombecker. Made of wood and painted pink, the Ginny wardrobe with sliding doors was numbered #1862. The closet has sliding doors. On the left of the interior is a clothing rod, a place to hang Ginny's clothe. A few "Ginny" hangers are also included. On the right interior are a set of drawers. This wardrobe sits on its four peg legs. Often when these are found, they are missing all or some of the legs--these remain secure. The edges have a papered trim.
The wardrobe is identified and dated in Jean Mahan's book; "Doll Furniture" on page 107.
The doors and drawers open and close easily. The paint on the edges has light wear and the paper trim is pulling loose in a few places but the piece of furniture is in overall great condition. The closet measures 9 3/4" x 9 1/2" x 5".
