Ruth's Redemptions Antiques & Collectibles
is now SALE PENDINGThis vintage wooden doll chair was custom designed by Strombecker especially for Vogue's 8" Ginnette Baby Doll. the little feeding chair is in very nice condition with minimal dings or wear to the paint. The "feet" of the chair show the most paint wear. The pink paint has completely worn off of a small area on the rear left foot. Within the photos, it appears as though there is a piece of wood missing on the rear left foot but it is actually missing the pink paint only.. The vinyl seat in the chair remains secure. The pastel motifs and Ginnette's name, on the table portion of the baby chair, remain in Excellent Condition
In the late 1950's, when this chair was manufactured, it was referred to as a Baby "Tender." In the 1950's, Strombecker created their own line of furniture for 8" dolls that were also solid wood but were unpainted. The furniture that Strombecker created specifically for Vogue was painted. Ginnette's furniture is a creamy white and decorated with her name in pink and the Teddy Bear, Turtle, and Elephant in other pastels. Ginnette's other furnishings also carry this same babyish motif.
The photos of Ginnette in the chair are for perspective only. Ginnette is listed separately as are other Vogue Doll family members. You may wish to see other Strombecker Furniture for Ginnette and other Vogue Dolls.
