This low footed Sherbet is part of the hard to find, fired-on primary colors of Mac-Beth Evans Petal Ware. There is considerable glare in the photos because the inside of these are clear glass with the fired on paint exterior. This sherbet is in Excellent Condition with the paint 99.9% intact. The glare makes the rim of the sherbet appear to have paint loss while the paint is actually still all there! There are only a few tiny pin head sized areas with missing paint here and there--and these have likely been there from manufacture. (*The photo of the underside shows a few dark spots which were soiling and have washed off.) This 4 1/2" sherbet is the rich vibrant blue. The Rainbow Primary Colors came in red, blue, green, and yellow. They were manufactured between 1930 - 1950. If you enjoy the hunt of pursuing a collection that takes some hunting--this is a wonderful choice. ----------------------
