In the 1940's these 4" ribbed pitchers were offered as promotional items with KIX Cereal as "Milk Jugs". These are also the right size to use as a creamer.
From the 1940s & 1950s by Hazel Atlas, these three small pitchers are in the fired on Orange, Yellow & Green. The little milk "jugs" are part of what Hazel Atlas called Gay Rainbow glassware. The glassware was manufactured with four different colors fired on over the Hazel Atlas Platonite white. The little jugs were originally produced in these primary colors: this reddish orange, Jadeite shade of Green, the deep Canary Yellow and then also a Cobalt Blue. (The blue is the only color not available at this time.)
The paint remains glossy on all three. All three remain in Very Good Condition with only minor flaws. No flaws are noted on the Orange Pitcher. There is light to normal wear to the finish of the yellow pitcher (which in my opinion appears as much worse in the photos) and a few small nicks to the mouth. The green jug has some uneven areas around the rim but nothing that feels like a chip or break and the finish looks great.
Other jugs / pitchers in the orange and green are also currently available in this shop listed separately. This listing is for the three pictured.
