.The perfect gift for Mom's of any age and for any day!
This Hazel Atlas, Gay Nineties mug, decorated in Red & Black has the word "MOM" as part of the design. The decorative Victorian Style design remains intact; a Man with a Handle Bar Mustache, a Woman with her Victorian Up Do, and musical notes suggestive of a Barber Shop Quartet. The cup is marked with the Hazel Atlas Logo on the bottom. It is in Excellent Condition.
**PLEASE SEE THE COORDINATING "DAD" MUG LISTED SEPARATELY. A PICTURE OF THE TWO MUGS TOGETHER IS SHOWN HERE AS WELL AS A COORDINATING SET IN YELLOW THAT IS ALSO LISTED SEPARATELY**
****** BRIEF HISTORY: In the 1950's Hazel Atlas used this same shape mug as their blank shaving mugs and to create a small line of Gay Nineties dishware. The line included coffee mugs like this and breakfast (or dessert) plates. Mugs came personalized with "Mom" or "Dad" and sometimes as souvenirs for a place of interest or with a city name. (I have seen one mug with "New York" and one with "Atlantic City" printed on them.) The dishes are thought to have been decorated by Gay Fad Studios. Musical Notes & Victorian era couples...Men with Handle Bar Mustaches and Women with their Victorian Up Do's... are part of the common design.
