This mug by Hazel Atlas was part of a collection of eight mugs that were manufactured--each with a different song and scene. These beer mugs are often listed as Big Top Peanut Butter Glasses however they are not listed that way in a Hazel Atlas Collector's guide. There were similar tumblers produced in the 1950's that actually were "Peanut Butter Glasses" however these mugs were more likely produced in the 1940's or before--whether as a container or not isn't clear.
This mug has the chorus to a flirty little song that was written in 1899 "You Tell Me Your Dream And I'll Tell You Mine."
The character scene on the other side of the mug depicts a couple from that era. The scene and the lyrics are in blue and white. The mug is somewhat heavy glass (it weighs one pound) and is 5" tall. The base is stylized with concentric circles and the non-slip handle is indented for the fingers.
The mug is without chips, nicks or breaks and the graphics remain Excellent!
***The last two photos show another mug from the same original line that is listed separately. This listing is for the one mug only.
