In the 1950's Hazel Atlas presented a small line of Gay Nineties dishware. The line included coffee mugs and breakfast (or dessert) plates like this one. The dishes are thought to have been decorated by Gay Fad Studios. This plate features a Victorian era couple (a man with his handle bar mustache and a woman with her sweeping hair do)and musical notes which are a carry over of the Gay Nineties theme seen on the coordinating Mom and Dad mugs. The 7 " plate is perfect for a breakfast bagel or dessert.
These plates are very difficult to find. It is in Excellent Condition with the design intact, no chips, nicks, or breaks found. The thick Platonite glass is heavy and substantial and carries the H over A Hazel Atlas logo.
You may wish to purchase either a coordinating Mom or Dad mug listed separately but also in this shop (see photos).
Many other Hazel Atlas items are also available in this shop. It is my pleasure to safely combine orders for economical and secure shipping.
