Neat Father's Day Gift Idea...buy the complete collection!
From the 1980's this baby resin duck is from the collection of "Farm Pond Puddlers" by Vincent Giannetto III. Giannetto began carving duck decoys as a young boy. As he and his carving skills matured he became widely known for his art. With this collection of ducks, the artist skillfully carved the original of each duck within the collection and then each of the ducks were replicated in resin. Each individual duck was hand rubbed with stain to enhance the delicate feathering. Each duck is signed and dated. On this Baby Duckling the signature is under the bill and the year 1984 is under his tail feathers near the base. The realistic eyes are dark and appear to be glass. The very bottom has an applied felt base (from the manufacturer) to protect the surface he is displayed on.
Each one of the ducklings in the brood were named by their creator and each has his own personality. Each of the ducklings still have their original name tag taped to their base. This fellow is named Joseph and is also in Excellent Condition. Joseph and his brother Wilson are a little lighter in color than their other siblings. Their feathers do not carry the darker highlighting and they appear to be perhaps younger with an appearance of more "fluffy" down like feathers than their other brothers and sister.
