For anyone who collects U.S. Postal Service memorabilia...
This cast iron replica of a horse drawn mail buggy with its horse remains in good condition. Believed to be from the 70's, this was made as a "collectible" not as a toy. In very good condition, the mail carrier (mail man) still has the black plastic reins for his horse which often seems to have been lost with these over time.
The actual cart is blue with white lettering and red trim. The painting is rather crude but remains intact. It is detachable from the horse and his yoke which includes the front wheels. Mail buggy's and horse drawn carts of this type were used in the late 1800's to early 1900's especially in rural areas. This cast iron replica is 11" from the back of the buggy to the tip of the horse's nose. The buggy is 6" tall.
As this is cast iron, it is quite heavy and the shipping will reflect the same.
