Growing up in the 50's and 60's, a matching gift set like this could make a little girl feel like a princess. The faceted red glass hearts might as well have been real rubies the way they would glisten in the light and the gold tone metal when new, was a shiny as true gold.
This bracelet and locket were apparently well loved as well, worn and appreciated. Their value now sentimental to some old girl like me who remembers their original sparkle and appreciates the well kept memories.
The heart locket opens from the bottom and no longer closes tightly. The heart measures 5/8" x 1/2" and hangs from a 15" golden chain with a working spring lock clasp.
The bracelet stretches much like a watch band, closes with a fold over clasp, and has a dangling safety chain. Un-stretched, the bracelet is 6 1/2" long and stretches to 7 1/2". The gold tone finish of the set has darkened and has worn over time.
