This mid-century ashtray is marked on the bottom as Calif. Orig. USA with a number (820) under the mark. In "sea foam" green with metallic gold flecks, the ash tray has a matte gold speckled trim and a pattern of oak leaves incised in the center. Typical of the Eames Era, the ashtray has a unique modernistic shape and sits on three short legs. Whether using the retired vintage ashtray for its originally intended use or for trinkets, potpourri, or a candy dish, the attractive piece of pottery fits nicely with a retro 50's and 60's modern decor. One very small nick is noted on close inspection and a close up of the area is shown (see last photo.) It measures 10 1/2" x 9".
