This vintage dresser or keepsake box is nicely unisex. It is masculine enough for a "man" box or suitable for any dog or puppy lover
From the 1940's the wooden box appears to be made of cedar or possibly a knotty pine. It measures 11" x 7" x 4". The top features a decoupage scene of two cute wiry haired terrier pups. The decoupaged dogs absolutely steal the show and make the signs of age (scratches here and there) seem inconsequential. The puppies are framed with a carved design. The front is curved and the corners are dovetailed. The mirror inside remains in Spectacular (Excellent) Condition! The bottom is made from three pieces of wood, two have come unglued and can be re-glued or left in this "as found" and continue to serve its purpose quite well.
The good sized box is useful for jewelry, trinkets, documents, letters, bills, gloves....or a place to empty those pockets at the end of the day.
