Betsy is looking more beautiful than ever! She's having a hard time deciding between two of her evening gowns for Prom time.
The strapless gown with the black velveteen bodice, pink taffeta skirt with lace, and the chiffon stole that is shown on Betsy in the first photo is actually known as her Prom Time Gown #8205. So of course Betsy's first choice for Prom would be this one. Her gown remains Excellent with two minor issues found and shown in the last photo. She has two tiny marks about the size of a pin head on her chiffon scarf and also a small area of light discoloration on the lace overlay that are there but not easily noticed.
In the 1950's any young lady would enjoy having a second evening gown for other social affairs.
Betsy's second gown is a lovely periwinkle taffeta with lace trim. This gorgeous lavender dress is a simple cut with a full long skirt and square neckline trimmed in ivory lace. The gown is in Excellent Condition. No problems found. A newer hat that compliments her dresses is included for display if desired. She is wearing satin-like undies and her original black shoes that are also in Excellent Condition.
This near Mint 8" American Character Betsy McCall is marked with the circle and McCall Corp. on her back. Her barrettes remain intact in her dark brown hair. Betsy's gorgeous blue eyes open and shut as they should. She has lovely coloring with pink cheeks. Her Body is in excellent condition with no split in her crotch and no knee splits! Her head and arms are a bit loose but still fully intact. Her arms will hold a pose but for a short time only. Her knees bend well. Betsy doesn't stand alone very well and so displays best with a stand. The doll stand will be included with her.
A wonderfully precious tiny Betsy for your collection from a smoke free environment.
