Anchor Hocking's Moonstone was a popular pattern in the early 1940's. During the sagging economy of WWII this pattern was considered an affordable extravagance that was as beautiful and elegant as much more expensive glassware. This "Nappy" or open candy dish was also referred to as a "Bon Bon." This sweet opalescent hob nail heart shaped dish is just as elegant as the day it was made! The center bottom offers a starburst, the sides are a hobnail pattern, and the dish is trimmed with a milky white that when caught by the light has the fire of opal glassware. The 6.5" dish remains in Excellent Condition.
