This is a selection of 20 vintage Double and Single Edge Shaving Razor Blades. They include 6 from Gillette that include 2 Thin Blades that are wrapped and in the torn red box. The oldest one has 3 holes marked Stropping, Honing Not to be Re-Sharpened. There is a blue blade with many Patent Numbers. The last 1,924,262 is from 1933. The next has a Patent of 1,639,335 from 1927. Another is marked New Gillette Blade Patents Pending. There is one marked PARAGON BLADE Made in U.S.A. Two Blades are marked PROBAK Made in U.S.A. With a last Patent Number of 1639335 from 1927 is the same as a Gillette I have. I found “Probak was a brand of safety razors and blades started by Henry J. Gaisman in 1928.” There is two Marlin High Speed Made in U.S.A. From Marlin Rifle Firearms Co. One is sealed in paper wrapping. There is a box with 5 sealed VELLUM Double Edged Blades. I found “Vellum Minute Safety Razor Corp., 61 Mercer St., Newark, New Jersey.” There is also a empty box marked SWEE-DO, Inc. New York Double Edged Razor Blades. There are also 4 single edge razor blades that include a Star Super Edge with last Patent 1,773,614 from 1930, Star Cru-Steel, and Vim each marked Made in U.S.A. The last single edge is not marked and appears to be a re-sharpened type. These are well used with a few unused with wear, stains, rust spots, box damage etc. for collecting and display.
