This antique tool is marked on both sides POLLARD MFG CO NIAGARA FALLS. It appears to be red painted Cast Iron. It was purchased with different scrapers. It measures almost 6 ½ inches long and has a almost 2 inch wide opening. I found 1913 adds for “NIAGARA FALLS—The Pollard Mfg. Co., manufacturer of stone and marble ... Planers This machine, operating with a pair of cutting tools, finishes opposite sides”. I found the Company was on both sides of the border in N.Y. and Ontario Canada. I was unable to find this tool.
